Michael R. Rodenas
Principal
Mr. Rodenas has more than 15 years experience negotiating land deals and anchor tenant leases, as well as the purchase and sale of shopping malls and centers.
Mr. Rodenas started his commercial real estate career with Peebles, a Virginia-based department store chain, and spent four years negotiating anchor tenant deals for the entire eastern half of the United States for two department store chains. His responsibilities included everything from initial market visits to due diligence, site selection, competitive and demographic analysis, targeting acquisition candidates, negotiation of anchor tenant leases and all related functions through store openings.
Mr. Rodenas also spent a portion of his retail career in-house with the Kmart Corporation, where his responsibilities included targeting both new store sites as well as spearheading the Big K to Super K expansion program for the Midwest, where his territory and store base generated more than $2 billion in sales annually for the discount department store chain.
Mr. Rodenas has a Bachelor's degree from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. He is active with both ICSC and Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Memphis, and is a member of the Memphis Grizzlies (NBA) Advisory Board.
Jennifer J. Harpold Esq.
Vice President - Development
Jennifer J. Harpold is Vice President of Development of Rodenas Consulting.
In 2007, after a decade in law, she moved into the commercial real estate field by representing both landlords and tenants in the leasing of retail space. She specializes in tenant representation and big box leasing.
Ms. Harpold graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Management. She then received her juris doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law where she was a Vice President of the Moot Court Honor Society. Prior to joining Rodenas Consulting, Ms. Harpold was a Trust Administrator and Financial Consultant for The Northern Trust Company. She then represented multiple Fortune 100 companies in ERISA matters for one of Chicago's largest law firms.
Terry A. Mueller Esq.
Vice President - Leasing
Terry A. Mueller is Vice President of Leasing of Rodenas Consulting. Prior to joining Rodenas Consulting in 2007 as Vice President of Leasing, Mr. Mueller specialized in residential real estate in the Chicago, suburban Chicago and in neighboring states' markets. Since successfully making the transition to the shopping center industry, Mr. Mueller has traveled the country on behalf of clients looking to build a national presence. Mr. Mueller enjoys working with clients and the "art of the deal."
Mr. Mueller is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University and the Chicago-Kent College of Law.
Jodi L. Griffin
Vice President - Leasing
Based in Muskegon, Michigan, Jodi is Vice President of Leasing for Rodenas Consulting. Jodi has over 14 years of experience working for landlords in the outlet center industry. She specializes in landlord and tenant representation within the 250 outlet centers in the United States.
Prior to joining Rodenas Consulting Ms. Griffin spent eleven years as a Leasing Executive with Horizon Group Properties. During this time Ms. Griffin developed a specialty leasing program for Horizon's 42 outlet centers, due to the success of this program she transferred to in-line leasing with a client base of 150 retailers. Most recently she acted as Senior Leasing Executive with Ariel Preferred Retail Group handling the redevelopment of Ariel's portfolio of outlet centers.
Carol J. Crook
Leasing Representative
Carol J. Crook brings 22 years of successful entrepreneurial experience with her to Rodenas Consulting. Prior to moving into commercial real estate, Carol owned, operated and was the Artistic Director of the Plano Academy of Dance. Carol acquired vital real estate knowledge negotiating leases and acquiring 5 different locations for her own Company. Once Carol hit her creative and leadership goals in the dance world: awards from NYCDA, Tremaine, LADF & others, she assisted and taught for dance master “Buster Cooper” @ Dance Educators, TATD and Dance Masters. After proudly watching a long-time student achieve principal dancer and tap soloist in the Broadway Musical “Swing”, Carol's career path took her more seriously into commercial real estate.
After the move full-time into commercial real estate, Carol began working as a Leasing Representative re-tenanting a regional mall in Fort Worth, Texas. After a successful five years of leasing and marketing commercial real estate, she went on to acquire her Texas Real Estate License. Carol has represented clients locate new locations in retail shopping centers, malls, office and flex space, as well as work in client buyer and seller representation in land deals. Carol's clients have been local, regional as well as national. Her negotiating skills and customer service acumen have landed her many referrals. She specializes in tenant representation and has directly worked for many landlords in lease negotiation. Carol has worked in the commercial real estate industry for 7 years.
After joining the Rodenas Consulting team in 2009, Carol is now targeting organic retail locations for Rodenas Consulting's clients, as well as targeting buyers for regional malls. Carol is excited to be a part of a team with such in-depth knowledge of the the shopping center and retail Industry.
